'We are Family'

Dear Winelovers,

You may, or may not, be aware that the law is changing regarding data protection, so we need to confirm that you still want to keep hearing from us.

Here at bybo we operate, and serve, an online community, where we share information, with you, our customers, about the products that we sell.

To do this, we have to communicate directly with you, and how we do that is very important.

Now, as you know, our job is to try to sell you wine, and when we do that, we obtain information about you. This is standard practice, and essential to confirm that you are of the legal age required to purchase our products.

How we collect data and what we collect.

When you make an online purchase with us, we need to record and control data relevant to your account - such as your name, billing and delivery address, email and contact telephone. By shopping with us, you are agreeing to our privacy policy, which verifies your identity, to confirm that you are at least 18 years of age – we cannot sell goods to you if you are below 18 years of age.

Unlike other sites, we do not store your credit card details. We know it may seem a bit of a chore, to some of you, to re-enter your card details with each subsequent transaction, but we honestly believe it is safer that way.

As a website we also collect tracking information as you navigate our site. This is called aggregate information and includes items viewed or selected, pages visited, your browser type and the domain name of your service provider. This allows us to monitor the popularity of products and the number and frequency of sales relating to product to support our buying. None of this information identifies you personally - it merely reports onsite activity.

What do we do with that data?

We use your data to fulfill your orders, and to communicate with you for marketing purposes. Rest assured, we only use your data in a safe and responsible way, to keep you up to date on offers, news and events.

We’re pretty ethical people, so we do not use Third Party Marketing of any kind. This means that we do not share your information with third parties, either directly, or through a data cooperative ( Data cooperatives are companies whose members contribute information about their customers in exchange for information about other customers who may be interested in their products).

Can I delete or amend my data?

Absolutely. If you are sent a marketing email and no longer wish to receive one, simply click the unsubscribe link located near the bottom of this email and this will remove you from our list.

If you would like to update or amend your personal details for billing, delivery, or email change, then please let us know via info@bybo.co.uk and we will confirm your identity by return and update your information.

I’m Happy.

If, like Pharrell Williams, you are blissfully happy to remain a part of our family, then we are extremely flattered, and there is nothing further that you need do.

Sister Sledge will sing us out, altogether now…. ‘We are Family…’
