 I love the honeyed, creamy, nutty flavours married with herby spiciness and a citrus zip. The blend is 90% Garganega and 10% Chardonnay and it has a surprising weight and intensity that belies its alcohol level of 13% making it an exceptionally food friendly wine.

The cru is situated in the Soave region at the top of the Foscarino hill. Frustrated by what he perceived as a general lack of ambition in the area, Roberto opted out of the DOC in 2000 and began labelling his wines as IGT Veneto with the aim of making exceptional wines.

‘The best property in Soave is my property’ says Roberto, and on this evidence it’s hard to disagree!
