Raspberries, mulberries, a handful of blackberries, and then more raspberries. This is minimal intervention wine, the kind of cloudy, savoury and vibrantly beautiful giggle juice that Jean de Florettewould have guzzled on his endless trips to the cistern and although this is a wine of the Yarra, it dances to the tambourin of Provence. The grapes are picked and blended at the same time then fermented with natural yeasts, bottled unfined and barely filtered. Tense, nervy, mineraly and oozing with juicy fruit.
