Pacherenc du Vic Bilh Sec, Chateau D'Aydie 2016

We’re just Pash about Pach! The word comes from paishet, meaning ‘posts in a row’ (Vic Bilh are the local hills, in the Pyrenees foothills, along the Adour river, south of Armagnac) which is a slightly less romantic way of describing this peachy little gem of a wine. It’s made from a blend of Gros, and Petit Manseng, with a dash of Courbu. It’s punchy, with orchard fruits burnished by a warm sun, Poire William and fat, lush yellow plums, great acidity and a lot of lees contact. Scrumptious!
